Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 10th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of bulls and weaned cattle.  A great entry of 449 weaners were forward to a large ring side of buyers ensuring Ring 4 had a great start to 2024.  114 bulls were forward with demand for all classes being evident.

Mr Kevin Watret, Northfield Park run of bulls topped at £1720 for a British Blue bull.  Messrs Hamilton, Derrie Farm, topped the Limousin bulls at £1660 and Messrs Armstrong, Terrace Farm run of 15 Limousin bulls topped at £1640.  Messrs Hill, Whitewall Farm Limousin bulls topped at £1600. Limousin heifers sold to £1470 for a 12 month old from Messrs Cowx & Son, Hudscales.  Mr Kevin Watret, Northfield Park sold a 10 month old Limousin heifer for £1340.  Messrs Taylor & Gill, Fell End sold Limousin x heifers for £1290 and £1270 (x2).  Messrs Edmondson, Manesty sold 8 and 9 month old Limousin x bullocks for £1300 and Messrs Howard, Lees Hall Farm sold a 10 month old Limousin x bullock for £1270.
