Borderway Store Cattle Sale

STORE CATTLE –On Wednesday 10th January, Harrison & Harrison & Hetherington had a fantastic 838 Store cattle forward for this year’s opening January show and sale of store cattle.  As reported by other centres store cattle trade is hot but Borderway has to be untouchable with todays returns dampening down previous sales.  The Show of bullocks was fantastic resulting in a mind boggling average of £1486.70 for this section.

The Pre sale show was judged by Mr Ben Winn who awarded the Champion and Reserve ticket to the 1^st and 2^nd prize heifers from Messrs Donald, Denton Mains which sold at £1930 and £1900 respectively.  A stunning spotted heifer from Messrs Kirkbride, Flimby Hall topped the sale at £2500.  Bullocks sold to £2200 from Messrs Moffat, Stone House who sold eight to average £1997.50 per head
