The Cleenagh flock production sale went under the hammer on Friday evening at the new date and venue at Ballymena Mart.
Badger Face Texel
The sale topped at 4000gns for Cleenagh Dribber, a Badger Face Texel shearling gimmer, she was sired by the imported stock sire Cleenagh Makavelli. She sold carrying a single to Brougher Cruiser and joins the Jessop’s flock of Craig Jessop, Leicestershire.

Cleenagh Dribbler - 4000gns
The Nantyderri flock purchased the next best at 3500gns, for Cleenagh Makavelli. She was a ewe lamb out of the import ewe Y86, full sister to the flock’s junior stock ram Cleenagh Espresso.
A shearling gimmer followed next at 3000gns, Cleenagh Diva. She is a daughter of Cleenagh Bodybuiler and sold carrying a single to Cleenagh Makavelli to Messrs Walsh, Co Donegal.
Blue Texel
The first Blue Texel into the ring sold for the top in this section at 3800gns to Messrs Jones, Carmarthenshire. She was a former show ewe and flushing ewe for the flock and sold carrying twins to Johnstown Hercules, the All-Ireland Male Champion 2023. She sold 2 single recips following her at £1600 and £1100 to Messrs Hogan, Co Carlow and Messrs Millar, Joyfield Flock, Lockerbie respectively.

Cleenagh Ewe Darling - 3800gns
Cleenagh Her Magesty followed next at 1600gns for a ewe lamb by Cleenagh Xquizit and out of Cleenagh Éclair, she joins the Barkers flock in North Yorkshire.
Dutch Spotted
A small offering of the recently established Cleenagh Dutch Spotted flock was brought forward. Topping this section was the stock ewe, Kilroot Dawn, a 2020 born ewe who sold scanned a single to £20,000 Diamond Gustavo and sold to Messrs Girvan, Orkney for 2300gns.

Sunnybank Emotionless a 2021 born ewe sold carrying triplets to Diamond Gustavo to Messrs Irvine, Co Antrim for 2200gns. Also attaining 2200gns was Cleenagh Flipping Fantastic, a Kilroot Everest daughter, out of the previously mentioned 2300gn Kilroot Dawn, she sold carrying twins to Diamond Gustavo and sold to Messrs Workman, Co Monaghan.
