Solway & Tyne Texel Breeders Club In Lamb Show & Sale

Top call at the Solway and Tyne Club’s in-lamb sale was a 2000gns bid for a Teiglum Cinnamon daughter from Eamonn Vaughan’s Partridge Nest flock.

Sale leader VAE2200476 is out of a Sportsmans-bred dam by Garngour Craftsman and sold carrying twins to Auldhouseburn Ghost. Buying this one was Glen Wilson, Rule Water.

Second best at 1400gns was the best of the sale from Alan Blackwood’s Auldhouseburn pen, BYZ2231898. She’s by the 100,000gns Auldhouseburn Expression and out of a Sportsmans-bred dam by Garngour Alabama. She was again sold carrying twins, this time to Haymount Fan Dabi Dozi, this time heading home with Gemma Brown, Brookhill.

Following her at 1000gns was an aged ewe from the dispersal of the Callerton flock of Malcom Sym. This one, SRC1900795, is by Glenway Ace of Diamonds and out of a dam by Teiglum Rembrandt and sold carrying to Hexel Funky Pigeon when bought by J R Lawton, Throckley.

Another from the same home then made 900gns, with this being SRC2100885, a triplet-born daughter out Teilo Bandwagon out of a dam by Ettrick Yorkie. Again in-lamb to Hexel Funky Pigeon she was the pick of James Pritchard, Evistones.

The same buyer then paid 800gns for SRC1900659. She’s by Teilo Bendigeidfran and out of a dam by Knock Washington and was also in-lamb to the Hexel sire.

At the same money was SRC2000870, another by the Teilo sire and this time out of a Glenway Ace of Diamonds daughter. She sold carrying to Callerton Glasgow when bought by Ian Murray, Glenway.

And a final 800gns call secured another of the Auldhouseburn gimmers, BYZ2231781. She’s again by the 100,000gns Expression and is out of a Sportamans A Star daughter. Sold in-lamb to Fan Dabi Dozi, she was taken by R Mitcheson, Belsay.
