Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 17th January, Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Centre record smashed in the first month of the year with an outstanding Pedigree British Blue heifer calf selling for £1040 from Ross and Elaine Pattinson, Temon Farm, Low Row selling to Mabie Farm Park, Dumfries.  Bulls calves topped at £570 for a 4 month old from Wadsworth Farming Ltd, Big Balcraig, Whauphill who also sold the top priced Angus bull calves to £490.  Bluestone Farming Ltd, Nethermains, Chirnside sold 3 months Angus bull calves to £425.  Low Wood Dairy Co, Warwick Bridge sold 2 month Blue bulls to £420.  Well bred 2 month old Montbelairde bull calves sold to £400 from JS & IM Wilson, Monk Foss, Millom.  British Blue cross heifers topped at £465 twice from J & D Martin, Boggle Hall, Plumpton and Wadsworth Farming Ltd.  Limousin heifer calves sold to £440 from DT & G Young, Crummock Bank, Wigton.  Blonde heifers sold to £380 from Messrs Imrie, Harelawhole, Canonbie.
