Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 17th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of bulls and weaned cattle with a strong trade continuing in Ring 4.  Mr Gorst, Gilpin Farm tops the bull trade at £1460 for a British Blue and £1440 for a Limousin.  Bulls were a fantastic trade throughout with especially quality hitting new heights every week.  Bullocks and heifers also continue to make strong prices with a busy ringside throughout the sale keen for numbers.  Heifers sell to £1610 and £1540 for a good run of British Blues from Uskstar, Brampton.  British Blue bullocks sold to £1300 from Messrs Shaw, Crookdyke.  Limousin bullocks sold to £1230 from Messrs Ker, Nether Oakshaw.  Numbers required again next week to meet demands.
