Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

On Tuesday 23^rd January, Lockerbie Mart saw its second sale of the year “stand on” for another enormous trade for all qualities of cattle. Messrs Hyslop, Maryfield leads the way with the bullocks, with his Charolais topping at £1770. Limousins from the same home hit £1590 at just 14 months old. Charolais bullocks sell to 342ppk at 7 months old with the matching heifers making 351ppk. Heifers topped at £1560 twice from Messrs Wilson, Belzies and Messrs Richardson, Purdomstone both with good Limousin cattle. Messrs Common, Crossdykes was not far behind with a Beef Shorthorn heifer at £1540.

The demand continues at Lockerbie with a bigger pool of buyers each sale, do not hesitate to get in touch for further enquiries.
