The Lakeview flock sold over 60 Lots of Texel recipients, from some of the best show and stock ewes in the flock, all due to lamb at the start of February.
Topping the sale at £2200 was a pair of embryos sired by Hexel Fan Club who sold for 32,000gns at Carlisle 2022.The dam was LKV2108109 was out of a 15,000gn gimmer from the Milnbank flock. This recipient sold to Messrs Cubitt of the Long Mountain flock, Northern Ireland. Messrs Cubit purchased the same mating, this time for a single to £1900 and another two for £1600 and £1500 respectively.
Messrs Wilkinson, Ballygroogan flock purchased the next best at £1700, a twin embryo by the 12,000gn Okehall Golden Balls, himself being a full brother to the 50,000gn Okehall Fireball. Dam was the Plasucha show gimmer from 2019 and won Interbreed Champion at Balmoral 2022 for the Lakeview flock.
The next best of £1700 was paid for a single embryo by Hexel Fan Club and dam was purchased from the Garngour flock for 6500gns. She is a full sister to 32,000gn Garngour Detroit and sold to Messrs Glendinning, Northern Ireland, who also took another the same way bred for £1600.
