Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 31st January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of bulls and weaned cattle.  Simmental bulls topped at £1590 from Messrs Skelton, Waterloo Farm with others to £1490.  Limousin bulls top at £1500 from Messrs Reid, Kirkburn.  Messrs Armstrong, Shankfield Head had Limousin bulls at £1410 and £1400.  Messrs Fell, Stanger Hill also has one at £1400.  Bullocks topped at £1440 for a 10 month old bullock from Messrs Hill, Whitewall.  Others sell to £1300 from Messrs Mattinson, Burthwaite.  Limousin heifers topped at £1390 from Uskstar Ltd, Oakghyll and 10 month old Limousin heifer sold to £1360 again from Messrs Hill, Whitewall.  More cattle required to meet a massive demand.
