Sold 76 Clean Cattle, 95 Cast Cows, 1441 Prime Lambs and  631 Cast Ewes

Bullocks (14) averaged  227p per kg and sold to 242p  (+10p  on the week)

Heifers (61) averaged  228p per kg and sold to 249p (n/c on the week)

95 Cast Cows averaged 148p per kg and sold to 193p   (+6p on the week) Top price £1679

1441 Hoggs averaged 260p per kg (-8p on the week) £114 per head and sold to £155, top price 352p per kg for Beltex Hoggs

631 Ewes averaged £85 and sold to £161 for a Texel Ewe

Heavy Ewes averaged £106, light ewes sold to £109 for Cheviot Ewes and averaged £69

A smart trade throughout with Greyface Ewes the only class to slacken by £2-£3.  High volumes of these types coming on throughout the country, otherwise all classes keenly sought after.

Topping the sale at £161 was a pen of Texels from W.Arnott & Co, Butterdean whilst a strong Beltex from Wester Ulston achieved £150

Catching the markets eye was run of 65 Blackface Ewes from Blakehope which realised £75 a head.
