On Monday 18th January Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep which saw a good entry forward, with trade a flyer, with hoggs regularly achieving £100 plus. A rise in thee prime sheep trade has resulted in a greater interest in stores.
Topping the trade at £121 was a pen of Texel hoggs from Mr Paul Coates, Barrockend Farm, Closely followed by a pen of 15 lovely Beltex hoggs selling to £114.50 from Messrs Scott, Hayton Brow, whose consignment levelled at £108.39. Suffolk hoggs sold to £104 for a run of 14 also from Paul Cotes.
