On Friday 22nd January Harrison & Hetherington held their first Beef Breeding cattle sale of 2021. A small but good show of cows and heifers with calves or in calf were in great demand.
Messrs Elliot, Bank House’s run of Limousin x cows topped at £2800 and £2400 along with a Limousin x heifer and calf selling to £2350.
Messrs McAlister, Wester Thomaston sold a Limousin x heifer and calf for £2250.
Messrs Pattinson, The Flatt’s run of heifers in calf topped at £2000 for a Limousin x and £1900 for a British Blue x.
Messrs Evans. Wheyrigg House sold a Charolais in calf cow for £1420 and H&K Farms stock cows topped at £1360(x2) for an Aberdeen Angus cow.
Messrs Thompson, Townfoot sold a Limousin bull for £2940.
