Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

NO CHANGE ON THE TRADE FRONT

On Tuesday 20^TH February, Lockerbie Mart, Harrison and Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of Store Cattle.

Once again, yet another flying trade, with multiple vendors achieving more than they ever have in their lives.

Heifers top at £1980 and £1960 from Messrs Halliday, Crawthat. Bullocks to £1890 from Messrs Wilson, Belzies and to £1860 from Messrs Richardson, Purdomstone. Charolais bullocks sell to 364ppk from McGregor, Relief Farm. Native Shorthorn bullocks sell to 324ppk from Messrs Spence, Corrielaw.

Heifers to 403kg from Messrs Halliday, Crawthat sell to 343ppk with Messrs Brown, Mosshead selling a slightly heavier at 342ppk.

Simmental bullocks were also a tremendous trade with Dodds of Tundergarth achieving £1390 for a pen of 10 month cattle.

A big entry again expected at the March Special sale which takes place on the 5^th March.
