The sale ring was packed to witness the dispersal sale of Patrick & Kirsty Sowerby, Oakbank Farm renowned flock of top quality and breeding.
The sale topped at £6000 for a 3 crop Del Boy sired ewe in lamb with twins which sold to Messrs Ridley, Haltcliffe.
A 4 crop Del Boy sired ewe in-lamb with twins sold to £5000 to Messrs Ewbank, Intake Farm.
£4,500 was achieved twice firstly for a 3 crop Elvis sired ewe carrying triplets selling to Messrs Robinson, Catlow and secondly for a 5 crop Bull & Cave sired ewe carrying a single lamb selling to Jack Hallam, Whitby.
One crop ewes sold to £4000 for a Nelson sired ewe carrying twins.
Shearlings topped at £1800 for a Oakbank Harry sired, selling to Messrs Scarr, Fawcett House Farm.
A pen of five 3 and 4 crop ewes sold to £1000 selling to Messrs Bainbridge, Brough, with another pen of six 1 crop ewes also selling to £1000 to Jack Hallam, Whitby.
A fantastic sale average of £675.31 was achieved for 200 Swaledale ewes ranging from Shearlings to 10 year old ewes.
8 lots sold between £3000 & £6000.
