On Monday 1st February Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store sheep which sold very well despite there being a much plainer show forward. Top price of the day was paid for a pair of Beltex from Messrs Hall, Horsleyhill at £127. Large cross bred hoggs were also very well bid for with large Suffolk x hoggs from Messrs Dixon, Whinney Hill selling for £124.
A large number of store sheep are required on a weekly basis to fulfil buyer’s demands.
