Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 28th February Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.

A pleasing entry of 371 were forward with 150 calves off of grassbased systems. Top price today goes to Messrs McKie, Stoneybrook topping at £650 for a topper of a British Blue Calf. Aberdeen Angus topped at £555 for a bull from Messrs Dun, Jeanfield, Lanark and Rebecca Moore travelled all the way from Corbridge topping the Herefords at £320 twice. Black and white topped at £205 from Regular Consigner Messrs Morley, Wadderdale. Heifers met a pleasing trade topping at £560 from Messrs Farish East Farm and Limousins topping at £525 for an outstanding heifers from Messrs Fox , Windy Hill. Aberdeen Angus heifers topped at £350 from Messrs Irving, Bectonhall and Herefords again, topped at £350 from Rebecca Moore.
