Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their February Beef Breeding Cattle Sale.

Topping the sale at £4200 for a second calved cow with a bull calf at foot from Messrs Porter, Low Oxnop Farm, Richmond selling to Messrs Burbridge, Leicestershire.

Messrs Porter also sold a third Limousin calver cow with a bull calf at foot to £4000 selling to Messrs Fielder, Howden with a further seven outfits selling above £3500.

Heifers from this home sold to £3300 for a Limousin with a Limousin heifer calf at foot selling to Messrs Huck, Skipton.

The first part of the dispersal from Messrs Porter, Low Oxnop sold to average £3800 for the fourteen cows and heifers with calves at foot.

Messrs Cowan, The Ash, Roadhead sold a Limousin heifer with heifer calf at foot sold to £3550 which sold to Messrs Benson, Ulverston.

Messrs Preece, Thornbush, Roeburndale sold a Limousin heifer with Limousin Bull calf at foot to £3500 selling to Messrs Bindloss, Shap.

Messrs Porter, Riddings Farm, Reeth sold a Limousin heifer with Limousin Heifer calf at foot to £3500 Messrs Dargue, Forest in Teesdale.

Messrs Bradley, Penny Grange sold British Blue in calf heifers to £3400 selling to Messrs Dent, Barnard Castle. With others selling to £3300 to Messrs White, Barnard Castle and in calf Limousin sold to £3050 to Messrs Swales, Goole.

Messrs Porter, Low Oxnop sold a British Blue breeding bull to £6400 to Messrs Rigby, Slaidburn.
