Stores Stay Stupendous!

On Tuesday 9^th February Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Auction Mart. The healthy trade continues with demand still as strong.

Aberdeen Angus bullocks topped at £1330 for a pair from Messrs Henderson, Cleuchbrae. Hereford bullocks were up to £1160 from Messrs Ker, Justenlees and Limousin bullocks to £1140 from Messrs Mair, Meikleholm. Limousin heifers were up to £1205 from Messrs Glendinning, Newfield. Bulls sold up to £1180 for a smashing Limousin from Messrs Ward, Whinstonehill.

The trade for younger cattle also remained vibrant with Messrs Telfer, Cleuchfoot receiving up to 287.5ppk for 9m old Limousin bullocks and 257ppk for heifers of the same age. British Blue bullocks sold up to 267ppk from Messrs Robson, Laverockhall and Charolais to 256.8ppk from Messrs Spence, North Corrielaw all being 10m or younger.
