On Tuesday 12th of March Harrison and Hetherington conducted its monthly sale of store cattle in Middleton in Teasdale Market. A total of 70 head went under the hammer to the delight of all vendors as we saw a delightful trade from start to finish. Topping the sale was a British Blue steer at £1480 from JC & J White, Rigg Farm closely followed by two Limousin steers selling for £1440 from aforementioned JC & J White & JA Robinson, New House all of which were superb steers and got the trade they deserved. Heifers topped at £1340 for a Limousin from JB Fletcher, East Friar House a fantastic heifer fit for making a cow and was sold to Messrs Robinson, Prospect farm. A great run of cattle from East Farm Park whose run of 5 went onto average £1256. JB Fletcher whose run of 7 went to average £1236. A great day was had for the area with cattle described as £100 plus dearer than other outlets.
