Borderway Sale of Weaned Cattle

On Wednesday 13^th March, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  Trade continues to exceed expectations in Ring number 4 with a very mixed show of cattle forward met with nothing but eager bidding.  6 month old Limousin bulls sell to £1280.  Limousin bulls top at £1560 at 10 months of age from Messrs Smith, Lake View.  The same home also had bulls at £1440 and £1420.  5 month old Simmental bulls sell to £1000. Messrs Gorst tops the bullock trade with an absolutely tremendous British Blue at 9 months old making £1440.  9 month old Limousin sell to £1320 from Messrs Wilson, Blue Gables.  Charolais bullocks at 9 months of age sold to £1320 from the same home.  Limousin heifers sell to £1260 from Messrs Gorst and £1750 from Messrs Metcalf.  Black and white bullocks and bulls also sell very well throughout todays sale.
