Borderway Breeding Sheep Sale

On Monday 8^th April Harrison and Hetherington conducted the weekly sale of ewes and lambs at Borderway Mart.

BREEDING SHEEP: Another great show was forward as outfits were described as £2.3 dearer on the week. Topping the sale was a pair of texel shearlings with single beltex lambs from Caleb Todhunter, Greyrigg who sold for £170 a life. Charolais ewes topped at £116 a life for three shear ewes & twin beltex lambs from Alistair Dodd, Lockerbie. Texels topped at £145 for a shealing with a single from NJ & JM, Todhunter. Tom Greenbank sold some aged ewes with twin lambs from Ian Armstrong, Shankfield Head. Haig Murray, Beeches sold some easycare ewes with dorper lambs to £92 per life.

Many more could be sold to advantage.
