Sold 68 Clean Cattle, 43 Cast Cows, 1603 Prime Hoggs and 625 Cast Ewes

Bullocks (12) averaged 230p per kg and sold to 245p  (+10p on the week)

Heifers (56) averaged  233p per kg and sold to 264p (n/c on the week)

43 Cast Cows averaged 164p per kg and sold to 217p  (+10p on the week) Top price £1591

1603 Hoggs averaged 271p per kg (+1p on the week)  £120 per head and sold to £150, top price 348p per kg for Beltex Hoggs

Ewes averaged £78.82 and sold to £143 for a Beltex Ewe

Heavy Ewes averaged £114, light ewes sold to £107 for Cheviot Ewes and averaged £82

A very weathered show of ewes sold to extreme rates.  Quality heavy bred sorts short of requirements!

Summit of the sale was £143 for a classy Beltex Ewe from P.W Hedley, Swinside Townfoot.  A pen of Cheviots from the same good home topped their section at £107!
