On Wednesday 10^th April, Harrison and Hetherington held their inaugural Spring Stampede Sale of weaned cattle.

The special spring stampede sale certainly lived up to expectations with 661 cattle going through the ring.

Bulls started the day with a bang, with a run of pure Charolais from Messrs Goldie, Greenfields topping at £1940 for a run of 28 Limousin bulls sold to £1780 from Messrs Ewing, Drumbretton Farm and Messrs Wigham, Hargill House not far behind at £1730.

Bullocks were a tremendous trade too, despite the poor weather with an 11 month old British Blue selling to £1660 from Ali Dodd, Tundergarth Mains.

Heifers also sold incredibly well from start to finish! A pen of 5 Limousin aged 10-12 months sell for £1400 from Messrs Armstrong, Cockermouth.
