On Monday 15th April Harrison and Hetherington conducted the weekly sale of ewes and lambs at Borderway Mart.
BREEDING SHEEP: A good entry of 300 breeding sheep saw everything keenly bid for despite the recent wild weather and many more could have been sold. Topping the sale at £138 per life was a pair of Texel Shearlings with single Beltex lambs from Caleb Todhunter, Greyrigg House, Wigton. Aged ewes with lambs topped at £131 per life from Neil Comish, Thornby Road, Wigton. Mule ewes with twins sold to £92 per life from Greyrigg House. Hoggs with lambs sold to £130 per life from the same home. Hampshire ewes and lambs sold to £128 per life from Neil Comish. Dorset ewes with lambs sold to £95 per life from F R Dotchin, Cumcatch, Brampton.
