A RIGHT MIXTURE MAKES A RIGHT TRADE
On Wednesday 17th April, Harrison and Hetherington held their Sale of weaned cattle.
The sun is beginning to shine outside but the heat was in Ring 4 as 331 bulls, stirks and weanling cattle continue to sell for fun.
Bulls topped at £1510 for a British Blue from Messrs Burrows, Lodge Farm. The same home had a further 4 bulls at £1500. Charolais bulls topped at £1440 from Messrs Stott, Shawhead.
Limousin bullocks sold to £1340 twice from Messrs Scott, Cockermouth. Simmental bullocks hit £1290 from Messrs Thom, Mark Farm, Newton Stewart.
Limousin heifers sell to £1400 for a pair from Messrs Batty, Penrith with others selling to £1360 from Messrs Park, Cowranside Farm.
All types are needed for next week, especially grazing stirks are in huge demand.
