Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

Grass cattle take a big lift in trade on the fortnight with an eagar ringside of buyers looking for cattle to go outside.

Bullocks top at £1690 for a Limousin at just 13 months of age. This was from Messrs Taylor, Little Red Hall. The same home had Aberdeen Angus bullocks to £1440. Limousin heifers sell to £1310 at 11months from Messrs Sloan, Hunterhouse.

Topping the pence per kiol was a Limousin heifer from Messrs Wilson, Reddings selling for 388ppk. Charolais heifers sold to 355ppk from Messrs McGregor, Relief. Bullocks topped at 348ppk from Messrs Howatson, Heithat for a Limousin closely followed by a Simmental bullock from the sale home selling for 347ppkg.
