Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 24^th April, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly Sale of weaned cattle. 420 weaned cattle, stirks and store bulls were presented to a busy ring side taking advantage of the big number and huge variety of cattle in Ring number 4.  All types of cattle noticeably up on the week with grass fever well and truly in play.  Bulls sold to £1640 for a Hereford from Messrs Long, Keyla Park.  Limousin bulls sold to £1510 from Messrs Preston, Pallet Hill.

Bullocks and heifers were a flying trade throughout with grazers hitting unseen before levels.   11 months old Aberdeen Angus bullocks sold to £1320 and a pair of Limousin bullocks of the same age sold to the same money from Messrs Routledge, Netherton.  Both Limousin and Charolais heifers sold to £1300 from Messrs McCorncick, Barnbackle.
