Kirkby Stephen Spring Lamb Sale

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their weekly Sale of Prime Sheep on Tuesday evening, when 62 Spring Lambs were forward.

New season lambs sold to top at £229 for a pen of six 48kg Suffolk cross from Messrs Lyle, Staingills, Penrith.

This home also topped at 497.6p/kg for a pen of three 41kg Texel cross lambs which made £204.

Suffolk cross lambs also topped at 491.5p/kg for a pen of twelve 41kg lambs also from Staingills.

An SQQ average of 466.05p/kg and an overall Spring Lamb average of 460.78p/kg was achieved.
