Lockerbie Store Cattle Sale

THE MAJESTIC MARKETPLACE WHERE CATTLE DREAMS COME TRUE !

On Tuesday 7^th May, Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart.

Messrs Halliday, Crawthat fetch the cream of the crop and buyers from all around flock to take a bite.

From the best to the lesser types all sold well and good cattle in particular find another gear.

Bullocks topped at £2000 from Messrs Halliday, who sold others to £1840, £1800 and £1740. Messrs Common, Crossdyke sold a Limousin heifer to £1840 and Messrs Wilson, Belzie sold one to £1750.

13 month old Limosuin bullocks sell to 375ppk from Messrs Brown, Mosshead, while Heifers sell to 372ppk from Messrs Common, Crossdykes.

Simmental bullocks sell to £1400 from Messrs Ward, Whitstonehill. British Blue heifers sold to £1670 from Messrs Wilson, Belzies.
