Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their weekly Sale of Prime Sheep on Tuesday evening, when 63 Spring Lambs were forward.

Spring lambs topped at £264 for a Texel cross lamb from Messrs Atkinson, Abbey Park, Bleatarn. This home also sold 48kg Texel cross lambs to £256. (533.3p/kg)

Topping at 539.2kg where a pen of 37kg Texel cross lambs which sold for £199.50 from Messrs Slee, Street House, Penrith.

Suffolk lambs sold to £230 for a pen of 50kg lambs from Messrs Lyle, Staingills, Penrith, with 50kg Suffolk cross lambs making £229 and a pen of 46kg Suffolk cross lambs making £225 all from this home.

Suffolk cross lambs topped at 514p/kg for a pen of 43kg lambs which went on to sell for £221 from Messrs Lyle, Staingills, Penrith.

Dutch Texel cross lambs sold to £222 (528.6p/kg) a 41kg lamb from Messrs Lyle, Staingills, Penrith.

A fantastic SQQ average of 480.1p/kg and an overall Spring Lamb average of 472.6p/kg and £212.51 for all classes was achieved.
