Kirkby Stephen Cast Cows & OTM Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale at £1877.40 was a ten year old British Blue cross cow weighing 840kg (223.5p/kg) from Messrs Sedgley, Low Bank House, Barbon.

Topping at 252.5p/kg was a 722kg Limousin Cross cow totalling £1823.05 from Messrs Dugdale, Tilbearthwaite Farm, Coniston.

Messrs Brass, Bridge End Farm, Soulby sold 858kg British Blue cross to make £1848.99 (215.5p/kg).

Messrs Dent, Kaber Fold, Kaber sold a ten year old 912kg Beef Shorthorn cow to £1828.56 (200.5p/kg).

Dairy cows sold to £1526.35 and 222.5p/kg for a 686kg Friesian from Messrs Blades, Scarr House, Muker.

Another fantastic overall sale average of 204.65p/kg and £1433.17 was achieved.
