440 bulls, bullocks and heifers hit the thousand pound average once again with sellers from here, there and everywhere facing a packed ringside.
Charolais bulls topped at £1780 from Messrs Gilleard who also had a Limousin bull at £1740. Other Limousin bulls sold to £1660 from Messrs Richardson of Greenlands. Simmental bulls hit £1400 for 3 from Messrs Skelton of Waterloo.
British Blue bullocks sell to £1570 from Messrs Watson of Street Gate Farm. Limousin bullocks sell to £1350 from Messrs Mews of Glendue Farm, others sold to £1340 for a pen of 4 from Messrs McGarva, Barwhenny. Limousin heifers sold to £1350 from Messrs Rowtledge who also sold the top price Charolais heifer at £1290 for a pair.
