Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 22nd May, Harrison and Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle. A phenomenal trade for all types of cattle today with an absolutely jam packed ring side flocking to the hottest bull, stirk and weaner ring around.  Strong numbers every week consistently means a very healthy volume of serious bidders in attendance.

Four 13 month old Simmentals top the bullock trade making £1430 from Messrs Ward, Whinstonhill,  the same home then had Aberdeen Angus bullocks at £1300.  12 month old Charolais bullocks sold to £1280 from Messrs Routledge, Netherton who also sold Limousin bullocks at the same age to £1260.  Limousin heifers sell to £1420 from Messrs Salisbury, Beech Farm, while British Blue heifers were up to £1360 from Messrs Bunting, Bridgestone.  A smaller show of bulls was met with still a furious trade topping at £1400 for a Limousin from Messrs Pearson, The Faulds.
