Kirkby Stephen Cast Cows & OTM Cattle

Harrison & Hetherington Ltd, Kirkby Stephen Mart held their fortnightly Sale of cast and OTM cattle.

Topping the sale per head and pence per kilo at £2,217.23 and 277.5p was a six year old Limousin cow weighing 799kg from Messrs Horn, Lower Griseburn, Great Asby.

Also topping the pence per kilo at 277.5p was a 612kg British Blue heifer totalling £1,698.30 from Messrs Beck, Townfoot, Tebay.

Messrs Baines, New Middop, Gisburn sold an 823kg British Blue cross cow to £2,102.77 (255.5p/kg) and another 862kg British Blue cross cow to £2,064.49 (239.5p/kg)

Messrs Bland, Cotegill Cottage, Gaisgill sold an 8 year old 784kg British Blue cross cow to £2,050.16 (261.5p/kg).

Another fantastic overall sale average of 205.4p/kg and £1,340.22 was achieved.
