Borderway Calves

On Wednesday 29th May Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Messrs Swainson, Moor Park Farm, topped in the British Blue section at £700 for an outstanding bull calf at 3 months of age.  Messrs Connell, East Drummodie topped the whole sale at £710 for a powerful Charolais bull calf, he also sold the top priced Aberdeen Angus at £575.  Messrs Irving, Brunt Hill sold the highest price in the Limousin section at £590 while Herefords sold to a top of £315 from Messrs Wilson, Monk Foss.  Black and whites from Evening Hill Farm, Thursby sold to a top of £270.

Heifers topped at £670 from Messrs Caddy, The Crescent in the British Blue section and Charolais heifers topped at £575 from Connell Farms.  The highest priced Angus came from Messrs Wilson, Wood Farm selling to £630.   Herefords sold to a top of £430 from Messrs Beaty, Stonewalls.
