Lockerbie Store Cattle

On Tuesday 4^th June, Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store cattle at Lockerbie Mart. Top price of the day went to Messrs Richardson, Purdomstone selling a powerful Limousin bullock for £1660 this consignment was also up to £1530 and £1570 for Limousin bullocks. Aberdeen Angus bullocks were up to £1010 from Waterhead of Dryfe the same home also topped the Hereford section at £990. Messrs Stuart, Tuskielaw was up to 1010 for a pen of 3 Luing bullocks. 

Heifers were up to £1050 from Messrs More, Maxwellbank for a strong Hereford. The same home also sold to £1040 for a simmental heifer. Messrs Taylor, Lingland topped the Aberdeen Angus section at £880 for a lovely pen of 5 heifers.
