Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 19^th June Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of calves.  Top trade today goes to regular South West Scotland consignor Connell Farms at £620 for a lovely Charolais bull.  This consignment also topped the Angus Section at £555.  Messrs Morris, Greengate House, Lockerbie was up to £585 for a tremendous show stopping Limousin bull and Messrs Irving, Brunt Hill topped the Blue section.  Messrs Goddard, West Logan, Castle Douglas was up to £530 for a 2 months old Shorthorn Bulla and Messrs Vance, Portyerrock, Wigtownshire was up to £325 for Fleckvieh bulls, Messrs Ross, Whitelaird, Lochmaben sold black and Whites to £230.

Heifers topped at £560 for Angus heifers from Connell Farms, Wigtownshire and Messrs Irving, Brunt hill topped at £490 for Limousin heifers  Simmental  heifers were up to £410 from Messrs Vaughan, High Dovecote.  Messrs Martin,  Tempest Towers was up to £495 for Blue heifers

Bulls averaged £348.26,  Heifers Averaged £323.70,  Black and Whites averaged £82
