Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday, 3^rd July Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of Weaned cattle.  Once again an increased entry of 348 stirks were forward with many new vendors coming to take advantage of the large ring side of buyers in Ring 4.  121 bulls were forward and topped at £1660 and £1560 for a Limousin bull from Messrs Ewing, Dumbretton Farm.  Messrs Gill & Kennedy, Morey Lea Farm sold Limousin bulls to £1590.  Paul Davidson, Old Irvine Farm sold Limousin bulls for £1570 and £1500.  Messrs Wilson, Hurtleburn Farm run of Beef Shorthorn bulls topped at £1490 and £1470 (x2).

Messrs Gill & Kennedy, Moory Lea Farm sold a Blue x bullock for £1620.  Messrs Wilson, Hutlerburn Farm sold a Beef Shorthorn bullock for £1470.  Messrs Mattinson & Son, Burthwaite sold a Limousin x bullock for £1320.   Messrs Langcake, Sandhills Farm sold the top priced Limousin x heifer for £1580.  Messrs Gibson, Cocklet Hill Farm, sold the top priced Charolais heifer for £1460.
