Monday 22nd July 2024 Harrison & Hetherington conducted their opening sale of Store lambs in Borderway Market. A total of 627 were forward and went on to average £101.78 which sold to a wonderful trade throughout. Topping the sale went to Mr Colin Saunders, Newton Stewart who sold a pen of 14 Beltex lambs to £134. The same home sold a pen of Suffolk lambs to £116 and mules to £102. Dalreoch Farms, Ayr had a wonderful run of 60 Texel lambs to sell which averaged £115.25. Messrs Livesey, Lilliesleaf sold a great run of light Charollais lambs to £100 and to average £93.93. Angus Richardson, Sheepriggs sold a great consignment of 163 Texel mules to average £92.61.
Many more can be sold to advantage here in Borderway with sale taking place weekly at 11 a.m.
