Borderway Store Cattle Sale

A serious entry of 525 store cattle were presented at Borderway this Wednesday , all cattle were a great trade , a larger portion of plainer cattle were on the market this week , however this didn't dampen trade , with an overall average of £1370 being achieved. 

Bullocks sold to £2000 on two occasions from Messrs  Studholme , Ashview, Wigton and Messrs Fisher Lairdlaugh, Castle Douglas both reaching the promised land.

Heifers sold to £1980 for a Limousin from. Messrs Grice , Newtown, Carlisle.  Native cattle peaked at £1695 for a pen of 5 Aberdeen Angus from Messrs Holliday, New Bampton, Wigton.

Dairy bred cattle sold to £1800 for a British Blue from Messrs Spedding , Stone Flatts , Carlisle.
