Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 7^th of August, Harrison and Hetherington hosted their weekly calf sale with a pleasing entry of 259 calves forward. Top price was £640 from Messrs Forrest, Meinfoot, Ecclefechan for a lovely British Blue bull calf.  Aberdeen Angus topped at £650 from Messrs Reed, Moss Side Farm for a whopper of a calf. Ling Dairies consigned a lovely pen of 4 Hereford bulls topping the Herefords at £510, Messrs Byers, Whitehills topped the Simmental section at £455. Black and whites topped twice at £275 from regular consignor Messrs Morley, Hadderdale.

Heifers met a pleasing trade once again topping at £525 for Blue heifers from Messrs Forrest,  Meinfoot, Ecclefechan and Limousins took top price place at £570 from Messrs Kirkpatrick, Netherplace. Angus met a pleasing trade topping at £405 from Messrs Reed, Moss Side and Herefords were up to £375 twice from Ling Dairies.
