A show of 2043 lambs went under the hammer to an average of £98.09 + £15 for the same sale last year. A very competitive average considering the sale consisted of 934 mules. The sale topped at £138 for a pen of 15 texel lambs from Willy Lee, Lintley. Suffolks topped at £128 for a pen of 12 from Robert Pickthall, Mains Farm. Mules met an overall sale average of £91.83 topping at £112 for a pen from Malcolm Coulthard, Davygill. Cheviots topped at £113 from Paul Staley, Broadmea for a pen of 24. Blackface lambs topped at £72 for a pen from Messrs Kermode, Isle of Man. A travelled crowd with buyers from the south & Wales were present. A reminder of our next sale is the annual show & sale.
