Monday 19^th August 2024 Harrison & Hetherington held their Anniversary Show & Sale of store lambs. A total of 1304 went on to average £112.35. A big thank you goes to our Judges Mr Haig Murray, The Beeches who judged the Mules & Suffolks and Mr Stuart Miller, Allerby Hall who did the Continental Classes. Champion today went to Mr Brian Fell, Chapel Farm who sold a wonderful pen of Beltex cross lambs to £180. The Reserve Champion pen went to Messrs Milburn, Wallend who sold 5 Beltex lambs to £170. Texel lambs topped at £170 from Mr Harry Guardhouse, Cowgate. Suffolks topped at £135 for a pen from Michael Benson, Longthwaite Farm. Mule lambs topped at £119 from Mr Jimmy Bell, Birniehall whose run of 48 averaged £111.85. A total of 153 lambs sold for £130 or more. Dutch Spotted lambs topped at £134 for a pair from Lucy Hunt, Croft House. A great day was had in Borderway with more needed to satisfy demand.
