Monday 19^th August 2024 Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of store lambs. A total of 1137 average £102.15. Another solid entry and a marvellous trade with long keep lambs sharper on the week. Plenty buyers in attendance and quite a dew not got started yet. The sale topped at £145 for a Beltex Ewe lamb from Ian Donaldson, Lockerbie closely followed by £132 for a pair from Tom Howard, Haltwhistle. Texels topping at £132 from Robert Bell, Cockermouth. Suffolk lambs sold to £126 from Messrs Dean, Talkin Head, Brampton. Mule lambs topped at £106 from Clive Bennison, Lazonby. Another few sale highlights included a pen of 59 Texel x Mules from The Murrays, Langley-on-Tyne selling for £121. GA & JM Maw, Bewcastle selling a pen of 50 Texels to £118 and Stuart Whitfield, Barley Shield selling a pen of 42 Mule lambs to £98.
