On Monday 2^nd September Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of store and breeding sheep in Borderway. Another big show of store lambs in at Borderway today and a packed ringside of buyers selling 1659 lambs which is the biggest show we have had for some time, and they went on to averaged £100.53. A more weathered show on display and a lot of top lambs in the mix. Topping the sale today was an outstanding Texel from Richard Howe, Cochrane Nursery selling to £142. Brian Irving, Roweltown sold a pair of texel crosses to £139. Beltex lambs sold to £138 from John and Mike Bewley, Mid Farm with many of this type regularly cashing at over £130, short keep lambs slightly easier on the week yet a lot more buyers in for the short keep lambs today and many more of these could have been sold.
