Borderway Calf Sale

On Wednesday 4^th September Harrison and Hetherington held their sale of calves at Borderway Mart.  

Topping todays trade was a powerful strong British Blue from Messrs Simpson,  Waingate topping at £670 for 3 months old calf. A nice entry of Angus calves topped at £510 from Messrs Wilson,  Woodside and Limousins topped at £545 from Messrs Carlyle, Bleaberry for a lovely 3month old calf. Regular calf consigner Messrs Hyslop,  Meinside topped the Simmentals at £460 and Black and whites met a trade not seen for a while topping at £300 for a Holstein from Messrs Hunter, Berrier Head

Heifers were in big demand topping at £580 from returning customer Messrs Rome, Ingleston, Dumfries for a lovely Blue heifer. Angus heifers topped at £500 from regular consigner Messrs Wilson, Wood farm and Limousins topped at £425 from Jack Sim, Chapel Farm
