On Monday 9^th September Harrison & Hetherington held its weekly sale of store and breeding sheep in Borderway. A total of 1584 went under the hammer to a trade slightly less on the week to average £93.12. Topping the sale was a pair of Beltex lambs from young enthusiast Alex Batey, Heathery Knowe who sold them for £130. Mule lambs topped at £90 for a pen of 22 from Len Foxcroft, Hightown. Blue Texels topped at £120 from Jack Sim, Chapel House. Charollais topped at £108 for a pair from Jack Holt, Stott, Penrith.
