LAZONBY STORE LAMBS

On Thursday 19th September Harrison & Hetherington held their fortnightly sale of store lambs in Lazonby Market which attracted a great entry of 2128 head forward, as vendors move through their runs there is no let up in trade with all classes an exceptional trade. Topping the trade at £140 was a pen of great Beltex x lambs from Messrs Fisher, Holmewrangle, with pen after pen of Continental and Suffolk lambs selling beyond £100, mules met a great demand with forward types selling to £128 from Messrs Cain, Far Nentsberry, most lambs sold mainly in the £85-£95 bracket with the very smallest of pens achieving £78-£80.
