Borderway Weaned Cattle Sale

On Wednesday, 25^th September Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of weaned cattle.  A smaller show of 291 stirks were forward with trade being sharper throughout.

Messrs Garnett, RaithHill Farm, sold the top priced British Blue x bull for £1670 and the top priced Angus for £1620 and £1490.  Messrs Lowry, New Steading Farm sold a 10 month old Simmental bull for £1500.  Messrs Edmondson, Low Wood House sold the top priced Limousin bull for £1400.  In the bullock section Messrs Routledge & Son, Netherton run of cattle topped at £1440 and £1400 for Limousin and £1400 for Charolais x bullocks. Messrs Routledge also sold Limousin x heifers £1360 (x2).  Messrs Robson & Sons, Merryshield sold a Limousin x heifer for £1390.
