Borderway Store Cattle Sale

On Wednesday 16th Oct 2024 Harrison & Hetherington held their weekly sale of 563 store cattle, a much larger ringside of buyers were present this week, the best end of cattle, or any type and breed would be sharper on the week, the plainer more weathered types continue to be worth less, none the less plenty bidders are in hand to take them at their value.

Leading the sale was a Limousin steer selling for £1950 from Messrs Bowman, Croft House, Penrith. Heifers sold to £1870 for a British Blue from I & GM Blamire, Mid Whinnow, Thursby, with native cattle to £1680 from Messrs Slack, Cockley Bank, Brampton, for an Angus.
